We are an online marketing agency
We drive traffic to some really great sites
We drive metrics up and to the right. We do this by combining insight-driven messaging and design with leading technologies and the right strategies.
The result: deeper engagement and higher conversions. Excellent.
Matching the best strategies to your business objectives, we can help you plan and adjust your marketing campaigns to grow your customer base and build stronger relationships through targeted marketing, affinity marketing, viral and relationship marketing.
Our design and production team can create all of the necessary assets to take a campaign from concept to reality, or we can take your existing campaign elements and help bring them to the next level. We are experts in designing for email newsletters, banner ads, landing pages, online surveys, event rsvp and promotional mini sites.
Maximizing banner ad and email newsletter click-throughs, landing page conversion, referral tracking and data collection, we can execute your campaign and deliver reports directly to your inbox. We can also work with you to analyze campaign results and identify areas for optimization—for continual improvement on your marketing ROI.
Every client comes to us with different needs. Some have their marketing calendars ready to go, some approach us with a blank slate. Some rely on us entirely for design and deployment, while others just need us to crank out variations on a theme.
No worries, we can accomodate. We think the results speak for themselves.
The Art of Shaving does luxury shaving products. Online, we produce a promotional emailer every week, design banner ads for onsite as well as offsite promotions, engineer custom functionality relating to special promotional pricing, gift-with-purchase or affiliate relationships, and we manage their entire web infrastructure from site hosting to system integration with credit card processing and back-office order fulfillment. Offline we have designed in-store posters, new product packaging, and promotional direct mail pieces.
BettyLou Jewels designs unique jewelry for women. We helped develop the BettyLou Jewels brand and visual identity, and advise on all aspects of marketing online from creating marketing calendars, banner ads, email newsletters, landing pages, illustrations, facebook presence, viral promotions and press kits. The BettyLouJewels.com website was launched in collaboration with our sister company, Plank, and we continue to manage all ongoing web promotions and partnerships. This is a great example of how PLU and Plank work together in concert.
GE Capital Solutions approached us to help their sales team promote and manage their sales events. Starting with a database of clients and prospects, we designed targeted email and direct mail pieces to bring recipients to a custom mini-website per event. These mini sites provided information about specific GE services with a simple, intuitive web form for requesting additional information, or to RSVP for regional sales events. We then delivered email open rates and click-through reports, site visitor statistics and lists of attendees back to the GE sales team. For their annual Stampede event in Calgary, we even produced branded entry tickets and bandanas, posters, and an online photo gallery for sharing pictures after the event.
PLU is an online marketing agency, founded in 2005 by Romina Esquenazi. The company has since grown into a bustling office in downtown Montreal with a second team of designers in sunny Buenos Aires.
We work with clients ranging from boutique e-commerce stores to multi-national banks, non-profits, high-tech, entertainment and pharma. Every organization needs to reach out to their audience and engage them in a running dialog. This is what we do. And we do it (mostly) online.
We are more than a web shop, more than a design shop, nimbler than traditional agencies and most certainly faster. We focus our expertise on creating campaigns that are not only visually engaging but also measurable to the mouse click. We believe that a good campaign is like a breathing organism—with careful nuturing and proper attention you can see them thrive. We like to move quickly, adapting to running campaign data, revising as needed, and using the real world as our proving grounds.
With hundreds of successful campaigns under our belt and an inbox of happy clients, we're confident we're doing something right.
PLU recently teamed up with Plank (plankdesign.com), an experienced web design and development agency here in Montreal. In fact, we like each other so much, we moved in together. Plank has a decade-long history of developing the highest quality websites for clients such as Michael Moore, The Governor General of Canada, and Gillett Entertainment Group. With Plank building your website and PLU handling your web marketing, you will benefit from an amazing Web partnership that can handle all of your online needs.

Starting out as a painter many moons ago, Romina was seduced by the lure of technology and never looked back. Before founding PLU, Romina worked for a variety of small and midsize software and creative agencies, including a stint as creative director at ICE.com, managing their e-commerce site and countless marketing campaigns. Hailing proudly (and loudly) from Argentina, Romina is a skilled, if amateur, sommelier, able to send back wine in three languages.
Elbert is the futurist of the bunch, helping to define the big picture. Prior to joining PLU, Elbert spent 10 years in New York and Silicon Valley launching numerous market-leading internet properties in advertising, broadcasting, entertainment and ecommerce. Elbert is a cofounder of WEBCARGO, the premier file transfer service used by the largest and most influential advertising agencies around the world. He is also founder of Nirvana, web-based GTD software for getting things done.
Christiane has 10+ years in the digital world as a designer, programmer, producer, project/account manager and consultant. She is one of the original founders of Plank Multimedia when it opened during the Internet boom in the late '90s. She was Director of Creative Services and Director of Brand Management at Airborne Mobile until 2008 where she worked on some major brand accounts such as FOX, MAXIM, NHL, FoodNetwork, Anne Geddes, Michaelmoore.com and the CBC to name a few. She's very happy to be part the vibrant PLU team.
Dave joins PLU with extensive experience in website and database design, programming and project management. As an independent business and technology consultant, Dave’s clients have included Chrysler Corporation, Carrier Corporation, and Nordic Track. Working as an implementation architect for Xerox and at DBM Funding, Dave developed software for US and Canadian marketing services companies. A man of many talents, Dave has worked as an Angel Flight volunteer pilot, transporting people in need of medical care. Spending as much time as he does in Mexico these days, he’ll be able to keep his Spanish skills sharp with his Buenos Aires team mates.
Loreley began her career after graduating in Graphic Design from Buenos Aires University. Working as Creative Director at Metrovision, a leading Latin American post production company, Loreley led the development of campaigns for many of the most important global brands. In 2004, Loreley founded a graphic design studio along with Florencia Noziglia. A year later they joined forces with PLU, and now manage the Buenos Aires office. As an artist, Loreley expresses herself through her designs. All the same, Loreley is currently perfecting her English skills, bravely practicing with her North American counterparts at PLU (who are also trying their hand, with varying success, at Spanish). And thankfully, she hasn't lost her charming local lilt.
Starting out as a specialist in advertising photography, Florencia worked as an Art Director for Metrovision, guiding the creation of campaigns for leading domestic and international brands. In collaboration with Lorely Flores, Florencia co-founded a graphic design studio in 2004. Soon after, in 2005, the studio teamed up with PLU Communications, and now currently oversees management for the Buenos Aires branch office. Known for her knee slappers, Flor, as in flower, is the office comedian. When she's around, the mood is light and the giggles are loud.
